Restore Clergy
The Challenge
The Process
01
Strategy Session One
We explored launching something new: a therapy practice for moms, mapping out the audience, offers, and messaging it would take. This would take Kinsie's practice in a new direction and reach an entirely new audience.
02
Strategy Session Two
Digging deep in our first session made something clear: the new practice didn't feel right. Her heart was still with the clergy she'd been serving all along (sometimes you have to walk through the process to discover a direction isn't the right one!). We shifted focus to growing Restore Clergy, including new audiences like clergy spouses and pastors nearing retirement.
03
Full Brand Strategy
Based on her questionnaire and the discovery work we did in our strategy sessions, I completed market and competitor research, audience profiles, messaging, and visual direction, brought together in a 35-page brand strategy and roadmap. All of it felt very true to Kinsie, her values, and how she wants to show up for Restore Clergy.
Sometimes the best strategy isn't building something new. It's giving what you already have the clarity it deserves, which often reignites a burnt-out passion.
What We Uncovered
After studying the clergy wellness landscape, a clear gap emerged. Competitors offered moments of relief. Restore Clergy could offer a path pastors can sustain and practice throughout their careers.
42%
of pastors considered quitting full-time ministry in the prior year (Barna Group, 2022)
Prevention, Not Just Crisis Care
Most programs reach pastors after they break. Restore Clergy helps them build resilience before burnout, using proven, therapy-informed methods rather than spiritual training alone.
Community That Lasts
Instead of one-time retreats, cohorts create ongoing peer support for a profession that's uniquely isolated.
A Founder Who's Been There
Few competitors are led by someone who is ordained clergy, a licensed therapist, and a coach, like Kinsie. That tri-lens credibility became a cornerstone of the brand.
Room To Grow
Underserved niches like clergy spouses and retiring pastors opened new paths for growth.
What We Built
A complete brand strategy covering purpose, mission and values, competitor analysis and gaps, three detailed audience profiles, brand story and personality, tone of voice, positioning, taglines, visual direction to guide a future brand refresh.
